In a world where things like artificial intelligence develop way faster than ever before, too many people approach fitness the same way. It feels like a phase they'll stick to until they reach their given goal, then return to back to what's "comfortable" for them and not completely fuse the new changes they gained into their lifestyle.
Here's what I've learned after years in this industry; the people who achieve lasting transformation don't treat training as a phase.
They treat it as their identity; of who they are wanting to become.

What Commitment Truly Means
Going into my 6th year of being a coach, there have been true, definite challenges to getting here. I first started my days at Crunch Fitness Garden Grove (shoutout to my GG Crunch fam) to learn what it was like to be a personal trainer thru a commercial gym setting.
This foundation that I was building for myself looked like how to create plans for people, making connections from across many individuals––from trainers to clientele––all from different backgrounds, how to present what I offered for my services, and how to provide a safe space for people getting into fitness.
It all felt great and everything was going well until I realized I was doing more for what I set out for myself. And this was when I had to switch lanes.
After a couple of years, I quit my first commercial gym job and I decided that I wanted to run my own personal training business. I literally struggled the first six months because although I had a good idea of training clientele, I still was short of building my own system and at the same time, very eager to evolve my approach to training.
I then chose to sign up for business and personal training courses that best aligned with who I wanted to be, on being the best coach there was in the OC.
Today, I still run a business on what I thought was being the part but being fully invested in who I wanted to be. What I've learned over the years is that now what being a coach is thrives on; building a community, making connections with everyone I come across, & providing the care that people need.
All because of commitment.
Nowadays, my vision hasn't changed, no matter what lies ahead. What that looks is by helping others become what they have set themselves out to be and encouraging them to unlock their full potential.

Why This Matters
When you shift from seeing training as just a phase to a lifestyle, everything changes:
Pressure disappears because you're not racing against a deadline
Consistency becomes second nature because you're not forcing yourself to do something, rather you're creating room to grow
Results compound because you're creating sustainable habits, not temporary behaviors
Setbacks become lessons instead of reasons to quit
From what I've seen from the clients that I've trained, the people who transform their lives don't do it in a single season of the year. They do it by making training a non-negotiable part of who they are and what their purpose is.
