What is Most Essential to You?

We are less than 90 DAYS left in the year 2024. So, how far have you come as far as the goals that you've set for yourself from the beginning of this year? Have you checked off any goals from your list or have you forgotten it completely? If you've forgotten it completely or haven't started your list yet, to not place any stress to y'all, it's best to take a step back real quick and see where you stand in regards to those goals.

One thing that I would do is ask yourself if your current life right now aligns with those goals and if it doesn't, then what we need to do is, essentially, pave you in the right path to those goals.

Let's dive into it.

Create Your System

In terms of a system, I like to check up on these areas in my life to start on the right track. These include:

  • Personal habits. With these, it comes down to making an effort in maintaining good habits and/or substituting unhealthy habits with a healthier one like reading a book before going to bed versus scrolling thru TikTok or Instagram right before falling asleep. Another personal habit that has been a good change for myself has been getting sun right when I wake up. This helps with your circadian rhythm in which this helps my internal clock know when it's time to wake or when it's time to turn down.
  • Morning routine & nighttime routine. These have come a long way for myself because I used to just get up and go without having any slow transitions into my days as well as staying up incredibly late (staying up til 1-2AM or even later) during my college days. Nowadays, it is a MUST to go through my morning and nighttime routines. Morning routines really set the tone for the day and nighttime routines are the perfect night cap. I've definitely feel more sound and function at my fullest potential throughout my days when I do both. If you have the two in tact, your readiness and preparedness will be at its peak sooner than later.
  • Personal meetings. Do you ever schedule time throughout the week to have meetings with yourself? Hear me out. We set times and meetings with people that we collaborate ideas with, discuss things that are working and aren't going well, etc. so wouldn't it make sense to do that for yourself? Make that time more available and see what it can do for your thoughts and plans for action moving forward.
  • Prioritize the now. Dwelling on the past doesn't make you take action but instead makes you stuck and to be your best future self you need the current moment, the now, to also make the right action.

Once you've gotten these in the right place, no doubt your path should be set and have you be able to get you to start and hopefully, complete your list of goal(s) that you made for yourself.

Your goals & successes are worth way more than any excuse and to feel bad about yourself.

The main lesson here is to find what is most essential to YOU. If you don't make your system work for you and decide what is most essential in your life right now, then you're going to be wasting your own time and potential that's needing to be let out and unfortunately, those goals are just empty promises to yourself. You deserve to make the changes and to make the changes tnow if you haven't done so.
